Mindfulness in P6
The Primary Six classes have been taking part in a six-week mindfulness programme called Paws b [pause be]
‘.b’ stands for ‘stop’ and ‘be’.
Veronica, our tutor, helped to train us to direct our attention to whatever is happening in the present moment: our breathing, other physical sensations, thoughts, emotions, or even everyday activities like eating.
The idea is to give us the skills to respond to whatever the present-moment throws at us.
We really looked forward to our sessions and loved finding out what we were going to learn each week. Kimberly loved the mindfulness jar and Muireann loved watching the clips. Lorcan liked learning about the brain.
