Carryduff GAC Visit

There is great excitement building up in the community in preparation for Carryduff GAC reaching the Men’s County Senior Football Championship for the first time in their history. Primary Four, Five and Six were delighted to welcome former pupils and current Carryduff Senior footballers (Michael McGrath, Michael Lawson, Gareth Henderson, Owen McCabe, Ronan Lawler and Josh Connery) to the school today. Due to the current Covid-19 restrictions, there can’t be a normal build up to the final which will be played this Sunday.  St Joseph’s were joining in with the build up by making good luck messages and decorating the school with posters, flags, bunting etc. The school also celebrated a Club Colours Day for pupils who came to school today dressed in purple and yellow to mark this event.

The players shared their insights into competing in Gaelic Games and how they were getting ready for the big day on Sunday. Everyone at St Joseph’s Primary School would like to wish the club all the very best for the County Final on Sunday…….. GOOD LUCK and bring the trophy back to Carryduff.
